It all started in the beautiful PNW...
Our Beginning
Quenby was born in Portland, OR and 24 years later her first child, Jane, was born in Oregon as well. And while they both call Manhattan Beach, CA home now, their strong ties to the beautiful Pacific Northwest are still obvious in everything they do.
Quenby studied nursing at Oregon Health & Sciences University and worked for many years as a hospital nurse in specialties such as intensive care, surgery, and labor and delivery, before finding her true passion in aesthetics & wellness.
In May 2016 Quenby opened Quenby's Aesthetics & Wellness Center in Lake Oswego, OR. Her new wellness center offered both aesthetic treatments such as Botox and dermal fillers, as well as yoga classes and naturopathic medicine. Her vision was (and still is) to help others find balance so that they may achieve health & beauty... inside & out.
Quenby's Wellness Center very quickly became one of the busiest aesthetics practices in the country, and Quenby began receiving invitations to speak and demonstrate her techniques and unique business strategies as the company's popularity continued to grow.
Jane was a very motivated student during this time. She graduated from Lake Oswego High School with honors and was accepted to NYU. She planned to start studying to become a human rights attorney at NYU in 2018.
And then life suddenly changed...
The injury...
Jane Suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury
Just before New Years 2018, Jane suffered a life altering traumatic brain injury. This injury forever changed the trajectory of both their lives, as well as the lives of Jane's three younger siblings.
Jane did not get to begin school at NYU as planned. Instead, Quenby and Jane embarked on a very long journey to help Jane heal from this trauma. During this journey they dove into all therapeutic options they could find, which again solidified their commitment to balancing conventional medicine with more natural approaches.
Once Jane was finally medically stabilized, and their day to day life was no longer consumed with various medical appointments, Quenby started thinking about ways she could help her daughter rebuild a life she would be excited about...
And Main Jane Cosmetics was born.
Reconnecting with beauty...
From a very young age, Jane loved and appreciated beauty in all forms. She was gifted at creating beautiful images, both in front of and behind the camera. And she was incredibly talented at makeup application.
Jane has always had very high standards, and to this day she does not compromise these standards. The process of creating Main Jane was long and tedious. And all that effort has been well worth it...
Main Jane makeup wears absolutely beautifully! In fact, it is used by professional makeup artists on set, yet it has a very natural look and feel.
